A multi-diamond engagement ring found in the 1600 block of Bertram Street has been turned over to the Kelowna RCMP who are attempting to find its rightful owner.
A Good Samaritan brought the ring to the detachment on Dec. 27. There was an attempt to find the owner through social media, but was unsuccessful.
“This ring obviously has great meaning to its owner and appears to be well-worn and valuable. The Kelowna RCMP would like to reunite this ring with its rightful home,” said Const. Mike Della-Paolera. “The ring is very distinct and has a word stamped on the inside.”
If you are the owner of this ring and can identify it, please visit the front counter of the Kelowna RCMP Detachment at 1190 Richter Street. Be prepared to provide evidence of ownership or positively identify it, said Const. Della-Paolera.
The Kelowna RCMP will hold this ring for 90 days.
This is the second expensive item to be turned over to the RCMP in the last week. On Dec. 22, a genuine Rolex watch was found outside a restaurant in the 1300 block of Water Street.
RCMP continues to hold onto this item for 90 days as well.
